1-Restaurant managers ensure that restaurants operate efficiently and profitably while maintaining their reputation and ethos. 2-They must coordinate a variety of activities, whatever the size or type of the outlet; and are responsible for the business performance, quality standards and health and safety of the restaurant. 3-Combining strategic planning and day-to-day management activities, the role is both business-like and creative, particularly in terms of marketing and business development. 4-Typical job responsibilities include: 5-Training and supervising staff. 6-Agreeing and managing budgets. 7-Planning menus 8-Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines. 9-Promoting and marketing the business. 10-Overseeing stock levels. 11-Ordering supplies. 12-Handling customer enquiries and complaints. 13-Taking reservations. 14-Greeting and advising customers. 15-Problem solviNG. 16-Handling administration and paperwork 17-Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.
